HYBRID MOBILITY

Hybrid Mobility

8–11 June 2026 • CONFORM S.c.a.r.l., Avellino, Italy

The hybrid mobility of the S.M.I.L.E. – Skill Match in an Intelligent Learning Environment project took place from 8th to 11th June 2026 at CONFORM S.c.a.r.l. in Avellino, involving on-site and online higher education lecturers, guidance practitioners, placement experts, VET professionals and SME HR representatives from the partner countries.

Hybrid-Mobility

The four-day programme represented a strategic milestone in the development and piloting of S.M.I.L.E., giving participants the opportunity to explore and directly test the SMILE model, the digital platforms and the tools developed by the partnership to make guidance, learning and placement processes more personalised, competence-based, data-driven, proactive and predictive.

The mobility was specifically designed to bridge the gap between higher education systems and the business world, creating a shared language and common approach among those involved in teaching, guidance and enterprise. It also fostered cross-fertilisation between pedagogical, methodological and organisational-managerial expertise, creating the conditions for the future shared application of the model and for the consolidation of a transnational network capable of supporting the sustainability and wider dissemination of S.M.I.L.E. beyond the project lifetime.

Objectives of the Mobility

The hybrid event aimed to:

  • Explore the S.M.I.L.E. model and its intelligent and predictive approach to guidance, learning and placement, showing how data, competence-based methodologies and approaches, and Artificial Intelligence can support the identification of current and emerging needs among students and businesses.
  • Align lecturers, guidance practitioners, placement experts, VET professionals and SME HR Managers around the methodological principles and digital skills required to use AI in skills analysis, development and matching processes.
  • Test competence mapping based on the three European frameworks EntreComp, DigComp and GreenComp, integrated with the soft skills identified within the model, in order to build a multidimensional understanding of individual competences.
  • Explore the smile.tailent.it platform in practical terms, analysing the user interface and organisation interface, ESCO profiles, the recommendation system, self-assessment and hetero-assessment questionnaires, and AI-supported interviews.
  • Present and test the S.M.I.L.E. learning environment, providing participants with the microlearning pills and video tutorials developed to support flexible, continuous and accessible learning.
  • Explore the “SMILE Guide to the Future” platform, dedicated to guidance processes and the conscious development of personal and professional pathways, with particular attention to the pillars of guidance, the operational control panel, the methodological area for lecturers and guidance practitioners, self-assessment tools and the Prompt Library.
  • Contribute to the establishment of the first core group of a transnational open network of professionals, tasked with promoting the continued adoption of the S.M.I.L.E. approach and generating a multiplier effect across higher education systems.
